Our commitment to accessibility
We want everyone to be able to find and book beauty, hair and wellness professionals, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This statement explains the standard we aim for, what we have done so far, the limitations we know about, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
The standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These are the internationally recognised guidelines for making web content usable by people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments. We treat AA as the baseline for new pages and features, and we review existing pages against it as we update them.
What we have done
Across the website we use semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the structure, descriptive text for links and buttons, and alternative text for meaningful images. We aim for colour contrast that meets the AA threshold, support keyboard-only navigation, and keep layouts responsive so they reflow cleanly when text is enlarged or the screen is small. Forms use clear labels and error messages that do not rely on colour alone.
Known limitations
We are honest that some areas are still being improved. A small number of older pages and embedded third-party content, such as maps and booking widgets, may not yet fully meet AA. Some provider photographs sourced from third parties may have limited alternative text. We are working through these as part of our ongoing review, and we prioritise fixes that affect the most common journeys first.
How to report a problem
If you find a barrier or something that is hard to use, please tell us. Describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser or assistive technology you were using, so we can reproduce and fix it. We aim to respond within one working day across UK office hours, and we will let you know the steps we are taking.
