About us

yerọku is a UK marketing and technology service for self-care businesses in the UK. We own the complete digital experience loop from discovery to delivery facilitation.

How we work

  • The human sets the ceiling. Our system generates videos automatically. It works but we believe people decide what good looks like; the automation is there to reach it, not to replace the judgement.
  • Nothing is invented. Every claim in a video traces to something real about that business. We tell salon owners that, and they check.
  • Small and direct. No layers, no meetings for their own sake. You will get an answer the same day.

If you want to stand out: send us a short screen recording, two or three minutes, of something you have made that you are proud of, talking us through why you made the choices you made. Loom, a phone recording, anything.

It is genuinely optional and we will read every application without it. But it is the single best way to show us how you think, and we notice.

Make the videos. 20 to 30 second vertical pieces from photos and clips we supply, to a written brief. Captions burned in, music bed, no voiceover. 48 hour turnaround.

Senior video editor

Location
Remote. Open to applicants based outside the UK

Everything in the editor role, plus the part we cannot do without judgement: rebuilding what our system generates and explaining what it got wrong.

What is in it for you

  • Direct access. You work with the person who built the platform. Decisions happen the same day.
  • Real autonomy. Nobody will micromanage your timeline. We care about the output.
  • Your judgement shapes the product. In the senior role especially, what you notice gets built into the system. That is unusual and it is the actual appeal of this job.
  • Growing work. We are hiring one editor per few clients as we grow. Hours and scope increase for people who are good.
  • Paid on time, every month. We know that is not a given in this market. It will be a given here.

We are early, so we are not offering equity, bonuses, paid leave or a company retreat. When we can, we will say so plainly rather than hinting at it now.

How hiring works

  1. You apply here. CV, portfolio and a few questions. About ten minutes.
  2. We read it and reply either way. Usually within a week.
  3. Shortlist: a short paid task. One 20 to 30 second video to a real brief. We pay for your time on it whatever the outcome, and the video is yours to keep.
  4. A 30 minute call where you present it and we talk through your choices.
  5. Decision, with a reason either way.

We do not ask anyone to work for free, and we reply to everyone.

Use the application form. Be specific. We would rather read three detailed sentences than a page of general ones, and the detail is most of how we choose.
