How we verify and list UK beauty providers
Editorial standards
Yeroku lists professional beauty, hair, and wellness providers across the UK. To appear in our directory, a provider must operate a registered business, have a verifiable address or call-out service area, hold the relevant insurance for the services they offer, and not be subject to any active trading-standards or environmental-health restrictions in the UK. We do not pay for placement and we do not accept payment to influence ranking.
How we verify providers
Every listing goes through a verification pass before publication. The team checks the business address, contact details, opening hours, registered trading name and any claimed qualifications against publicly available sources. Where the provider is open to the public, the team visits in person to confirm the premises match the listing. For mobile and home-studio providers, we verify by phone call and follow-up evidence.
Listings that pass verification carry a visible Yeroku verified badge. The badge is removed if a provider stops responding to our annual re-verification or if we receive credible reports of changes that haven't been reflected in the listing.
How we rank providers
The order in which providers appear on a city-and-service page is determined by a weighted combination of factors: customer rating and review count from verified sources, recency of activity (recent bookings, recent reviews, recent profile updates), service-specific signals (whether the provider has confirmed they offer the service in question, and at what level of detail), and verification status.
We do not rank providers higher because they pay us; we do not sell ranking slots. We continue to refine the ranking methodology and welcome feedback from both providers and clients on where the current order doesn't match real-world quality.
How to claim your listing
If you are the owner or authorised representative of a salon, studio or independent professional listed in our directory, you can claim your listing to update opening hours, services offered, photographs, and contact details. The claim process verifies ownership through a published-number callback or a documented proof of business ownership. Once claimed, you can edit your listing through the manage dashboard and request changes that we will review and apply.
